Step #01: Open the picture in Photoshop

Firstly, open the picture that you want to edit.

Let’s change the background color of the image.

Step #2: Select the Background

Permit me to start with the background. Before we start the selection process, create a new layer by pressing on this icon.

Make the selection on this layer. In photoshop there are numerous ways to making the selection. Have you ever tried color range? As we are going to change the color of our picture, so let’s make the selection based on the color.Go to this option from the top,

Then click on selection preview from the table and click on this option,

Grayscale view gives the better idea of the selection. After clicking on this, one can select any specific color by clicking on the color from the background.

These white parts are going to be selected. But we need to make it more precise. Let’s jump into the next step.

Step 03: Make the selection accurate

To choose the background color precisely, click on this and click on the background area of the picture.

By decreasing the fuzziness, one can make the selection accurate. To make the background color change with the perfection turn the background into pure white and the object into pure black.

At this stage, the background is looking pretty good. But there are some portion inside the object need to make the correction. We will do it on the later part. Press ok after you feel satisfied with color picking.

Step 04: Take new adjustment layer

To add new adjustment layer, go this option from the top

Later on, you will be able to change the color of the background by changing the color of the hue and saturation.

So, this is how you can change the background color in photoshop. But as I have said earlier that you are also going to learn changing object color too lets change the color of the dress and the shoe.

Step 05: Take a new layer and select object

Create a new layer once again in the previous process.and go to the color range option one more time.

Try to make the object color into white. Press ok after making the primary selection and take a new adjustment layer in the previous process.

So, by changing the hue and saturation of this newly created layer you will be able to change color of the object.

Step 06: Refine the layer

The selection of the object is not looking accurate. In this step, we are going to take the selection into the perfection. Click on this along with pressing the ALT.

Have a look at the picture, dress and shoe are not in proper white form. Let’s make it proper white. Take the brush tool from here,

Zoom in the picture and start your correction procedure. Turn the object into white color.

Now this is looking pretty accurate. Now, go back to the normal model by clicking on the mask thumbnail along with ALT.

So , at this stage background and object both are in our control.Isn’t it great?
